About Me
Hi! I’m Claire!
I’m an associate marriage and family therapist (#15598) and associate professional clinical counselor (#19806) in California! I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Gender & Women’s Studies and Psychology from the University of Wyoming. After that, I completed my Master of Science in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University Fullerton.
I work with people of all identities and walks of life. I am passionate about working with teens and adults who identify as queer, trans, and/or gender expansive. As someone who discovered their neurodivergence later in life, I love supporting neurodivergent clients (late and self diagnosed included!) through their journeys. Many of my clients are looking for relief from complex trauma (CPTSD) or needing support with life transitions as well.
Before my time at The Nest Counseling Center, I gained specialized training in LGBTQ mental health care, including gender affirming care, at the LGBTQ Center OC. There, I also created and facilitated the Neuroqueer group, a mental health group for queer, neurodivergent adults.
Fun facts about me:
I was born and raised in Wyoming, I love all things crafty - especially crocheting and sewing, and my favorite color is pink (I wear it everyday!). I'm a swiftie (folklore is my #1), I love TV and documentaries, and going to the beach!
