about me

hi! i’m claire!

I identify as a white, queer, cisgender woman. I’m neurodivergent and I lived experience with mental illness and chronic physical illness/disability.

I work with people who have deep passions and big feelings. I love working with teens and adults who identify as queer, trans/gender expansive. Many of my clients are looking to understand their complex trauma and find ways to manage and cope with the cards they’ve been dealt. Things have been hard, but together we can find ways to heal the pain that comes with CPTSD. Additionally, I love supporting neurodivergent clients (late and self diagnosed included!) as they learn how best to accommodate their brains and feel empowered to be themselves. I frequently work with clients as they navigate life transitions as well, whether that be going to college, choosing a new career, or exploring how best to express their identity.

Before my time at The Nest Counseling Center, I gained specialized training in LGBTQ mental health care, including gender affirming care, at the LGBTQ Center OC. There, I also created and facilitated the Neuroqueer group, a mental health group for queer, neurodivergent adults.
